Chair of Thermal Engineering now has 10 members which are engaged in scientific fields of thermodynamic and thermal energy engineering. At the Chair of Thermal Engineering, Study program “Energy and Process Engineering” / Study group HEAT AND PROCESS TECHNIQUES is implemented. Students of this study program introduce the general thermo-technical disciplines, basic principles and processes in thermal engineering, energy equipment and appliances, modern management techniques of energy systems and resources.
Study program “Energy and Process Engineering” includes required or elective courses at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral study level at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Chair of Thermal Engineering successfully collaborates with other departments and chairs at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, and held adapted courses in the field of thermodynamics and thermal energy engineering.
In addition to the activities in the classroom, Chair of Thermal Engineering gives great importance to the activities in scientific research, which is realized through leadership and active participation in a number of national and international research projects. Also, collaboration with industrial and building sector is an important part of activities of the Chair. Particular attention is devoted to international cooperation, which includes participation in international projects, visits and studies at foreign universities, partnerships, organizing international scientific and professional meetings or workshops, organizing visits of colleagues from abroad to our faculty, international exchange of PhD students etc.
