Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies is looking for a skilled and motivatedResearcher/Engineer for the project in the area of
Life Cycle Analysis of new materials
(full-time or part-time)
dealing primarily but not exclusively with the tasks in our project RessFAST Improving of Material Efficiency by Means of the Resource-Efficient Manufacturing of Components Made out of Aluminum, Steel, Titanium (Steigerung der Materialeffizienz durch ressourceneffiziente Fertigung für Bauteile aus Aluminium, Stahl, Titan)
The successful candidate should:
- understand and be able to practically apply the principles of modern materials engineering
- be or quickly become familiar with the concept of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
- have experience or be ready to learn about modern LCA tools (primarily GaBi and SimaPro, see www.gabi-software.com and https://simapro.com/)
The applicants’ profiles to be considered are:
- Mechanical, Process, Materials or Chemical Engineers, with some IT-skills and/or interest in LCA
- Software Engineers (IT), with engineering skills and/or interest in the area of LCA
The successful candidates should:
- have an academic/engineering degree or be working towards it
- possess analytical skills and be motivated to learn and cope with new research issues
- be fluent in English (certification on TOEFL, GRE or other comparable test is an advantage), good knowledge of German is necessary
